Terms of use

The rules for using this site, including an important limit on what it is.

This is information, not legal advice

EDC Best summarises public laws and product specifications. A summary can be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your situation. Nothing here creates a lawyer and client relationship, and nothing here means that carrying an item is lawful or safe. An officer, prosecutor or court decides that, based on the facts and the law that applies where you are.

How verdicts work

A verdict such as "No specific restriction found" means that the main statute we reviewed does not single out that kind of item for carrying in a public place. It does not cover local bylaws, transport rules, private premises, schools, workplaces, events, vehicles, age rules, or how you behave. Read how we check for the full list of limits.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for knowing the law where you are. Check the linked official sources, ask local police or a lawyer if there is doubt, and leave the item at home if you are unsure.

No warranty and limit of liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the operator of EDC Best is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
